We are currently looking to hire an Economics teacher who will be responsible for teaching students to learn in the academic programme for IBDP with energy and competence. Candidates must have a university degree, teaching certificate in their own country or equivalent ability and teaching experience (ideally working with high school students in IB World School and has already completed IB workshop Category 1).

We are currently looking to hire an Economics teacher who will be responsible for teaching students to learn in the academic programme for IBDP with energy and competence. ■REQUIREMENTS: ・University degree ・Teaching certificate in their own country or equivalent ability and teaching experience (ideally working with high school students in IB World School and has already completed IB workshop Category I) *MUST have a valid work visa or a permit in Japan* ■NOTE: No person falling under any of the following items cannot apply for the staff members of Tokyo Metropolitan Government, including Tokyo Metropolitan High School teachers by the article 16 of the Local Public Service Act. (1) A person who has been sentenced to imprisonment or a more severe punishment, and of whom the execution of the sentence has not been completed or who has not yet ceased to be amenable to the execution of the sentence (2) A person who was dismissed by disciplinary action and a period of two years has not expired since the day of that disposition; disciplinary dismissal (3) A person who attempts or advocates the overthrow of the Constitution of Japan or the Government formed thereunder by means of force or violence, or who organizes or is a member of a political party or any organization which attempts or advocates the same. ■RECRUITMENT PROCESS: Metropolitan Kokusai High School will screen resumes to check that minimum requirements are met. Candidates will be contacted to arrange face-to-face interviews for teachers who are able to come to our school (virtual interviews may be possible). Candidates will be asked to bring with them their residence cards or alien registration certificates, their passports and visas, copies of teachers’ licenses or any other documents that show their professional expertise, copy of diploma and letters of reference. At the interviews, candidates will be required to explain the lesson plan with using the presented teaching materials and to demonstrate a part of the lesson plan. The successful candidate will make contract with Metropolitan Kokusai High School. We look forward to receiving your application.
